Kathryn V. Marinello
Kathryn V. Marinello is chief executive officer of Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. and a member of the company’s board of directors. She joined Hertz in January 2017, bringing more than 35 years of automotive, consumer marketing, business services, technology and executive management experience to this role.
Previously, Marinello served as a senior advisor at Ares Management LLC since March 2014. Prior to that, she was chairman and chief executive officer of Stream Global Services, Inc. from 2010 to 2014. And, she served as the president and chief executive officer of Ceridian Corporation from 2006 to 2010.
Marinello also spent 10 years at General Electric (GE), leading global, multi-billion dollar financial and services businesses. In the role of president and chief executive officer, she managed three of GE’s key business units, including: Fleet Commercial Finance (2002 to 2006), Consumer Insurance, which includes Direct Marketing, Auto & Home Insurance, Auto Warranty and Life Insurance (1999 to 2002), and Consumer Finance (1997-1999).
Prior to GE Capital, she was president and chief executive officer of the Electronic Payments Group at First Data Corporation, which provided electronic banking and commerce, and debit and commercial processing to the financial services industry. She also has served in senior leadership positions at US Bank, Chemical Bank, Citibank and Barclays Bank.
Ms. Marinello has been a member of the Board of Directors of AB Volvo since April 2014. She previously served as a director of General Motors from 2007 to 2016, Nielsen Holdings PLC from 2014 to 2017, RealPage, Inc. from 2015 to 2017, and MasterCard’s U.S. board from 1996 to 2002.
